Houses - Built and Remodelled

Parkview house
Louisville House
Our current home is in Old Town Louisville, CO. We’ve been remodeling it for 18 years. The dramatic new porch designed by architect Peter Stewart http://www.stewart-architecture.com was added in 2014. In 2011, we tore out the 8’ high living room ceiling, creating a more expansive space. We changed the kitchen in 2004, and again in 2016. There is not a single square foot of this home that we haven’t remodeled in some way.

The Commons House
The Commons House
In 1992, we built this home at The Commons on the Alameda, a Santa Fe co-housing community. http://santafecohousing.org It’s passive solar with radiant heat floors. We used design elements from the Nicolai Fechin home in Taos, NM as inspiration for interior details. This old photo was taken before the landscaping was done. Today, it’s surrounded by beautiful, low-water plants.

Lamy Downs House
Lamy Downs

“Lamy Downs” is the little house we built in Lamy, NM, outside of Santa Fe, in 1989. It’s heated by passive solar with interior adobe walls and a small wood stove for back-up. Although built on a shoe-string budget, all the custom touches created a pleasing and cozy home.
