Coffee Table

I hope you think my work looks expensive, but that’s not necessarily the case. By carefully choosing designs, techniques and materials, it’s possible to make lovely things on a real budget. Most of my projects have real-world budget limitations, and half the fun is making them look like they cost a lot more! My overhead is low, and you may find my work surprisingly affordable. So send me an email, and we’ll talk about your ideas.

On becoming greener:
For many years, I've avoided using irreplaceable exotic hardwoods or manufactured products containing formaldehyde in my work. Now I'm learning to be greener. This includes using beetle-killed blue stained pine from Colorado’s dying forests, using lumber that is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified, and seeking out sustainable, plantation-grown lumber like Lyptus (looks like mahogany), Ipe (instead of teak) and Bamboo (amazing stuff, and available as plywood, too).
I also try to use only low VOC, water-based finishes, and I strive to keep my wood waste to a minimum.
